Teacher Giveaway 2024

Mendota, Illinois- Triple Service Inc. is excited to share the winner of a $250 Teacher Giveaway. From August 1st through the 15th, the public could nominate a teacher or school administrator to win $250 towards anything they need for their classrooms. Once all of the nominees were gathered, they were entered into an online name picker and on August 18, 2024.

This is what one nomination said about Terri.

I am writing this note to nominate Terri Mikolasek. She is a huge asset to our school and is so deserving of this award. As all teachers do Mrs. Mikolasek deeply cares for her students. She is the type of person who doesn’t seek out the recognition she deserves. She goes above and beyond for her students and they all become part of her class family. She consistently delivers well prepared and engaging lessons for her kindergarten students. She has extreme patience with her students and shows them her love daily. Not only does she earn the love and respect of her students she has respect and admiration from her co-workers. I was blessed to work in her room as a paraprofessional for seven years and I was able to witness everything she does for her class, she’s an amazing teacher. I feel lucky to have her as a colleague, she pushed me and supported me to return to school to get my teaching license and was there for me every step of the way as my mentor. She is a devoted teacher to Mendota 289 and they are very lucky to have her.
